We'd love to have you join us this week as we gather to worship, learn, serve, and grow together.
What To Expect
Scarlet City Church strives to create a relaxed and welcoming environment where every person can encounter the gospel every Sunday. We do this through an order of service that is modeled after the gospel story. Each worship gathering includes music, prayer, preaching, and communion.
In-person Worship Gathering
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought many changes over the last year and a half. We are grateful to be gathering in person again. Here are our current policies for both the worship gathering and for Scarlet City Kids:
In alignment with Mayor Ginther's city-wide executive order effective Friday, September 10, 2021, we are asking that all individuals, whether vaccinated or not, wear a mask.
We recognize that wearing a face covering is an inconvenience, adds a layer of separation between connecting personally, and that this can feel like a step away from progress. However, we feel it is wise and loving to honor the recommendation of trusted medical authorities to prevent the spread of an infectious disease. We'd also ask that we love one another by creating space for different views on these divisive matters. Hopefully, this mask order will not last long and we can return to seeing everyone's beards, coffee breath, smiles, frowns, and other facial expressions soon.
We will be continuously re-evaluating and re-adjusting, so we thank you in advance for your flexibility as we continue to refine what works best for us to gather in a safe and comfortable way.
If you are uncomfortable or unable to join us in person, tune in to our live stream on Sundays at 10:00am through our Youtube channel.
Scarlet City Kids
Children learn about Jesus in a safe and nurturing environment through appropriate Bible stories, discussion, music, crafts, and games.
As we reopen Scarlet City Kids classes, we've implemented some updated processes and guidelines to help ensure the health and safety of our kids and volunteers. Please see the detailed information below.
For the time being, we have reopened three classrooms.
- Toddler class for kids ages 1 and 2 (masks are not required)
- Pre-K class for kids ages 3-5 (masks are recommended, but not required)
- Elementary class for grades K-5 (masks are recommended, but not required)
Each classroom has a limited capacity to help ensure that both children and volunteers have a comfortable amount of space. We ask that all volunteers wear a mask, whether vaccinated or not.
PRE-REGISTRATION & CHECK-IN
We are requesting that parents pre-register their children using the Church Center app or by clicking the SCK Registrations button below.
When you register, there are two different attendee types for each classroom, one of which is labeled as "waitlist." If the classroom you are registering for still has open spaces, you can select the non-waitlist option. If the classroom is full, your only option will be the waitlist option.
When you arrive on a Sunday morning, please come downstairs to check in. We will ask you to do a symptom check, will take your child's temperature, and will help you print your child's name label and security tag.
If you did not pre-register or are on the registration wait list, please wait to come downstairs until 9:55am or later, and the check-in table volunteer will be able to confirm if there's room for your child in the class that day.
During the check-in process, we will ask you to do a symptom check and will take your child's temperature. In addition to capacity limits and symptom and temperature checks, we will do the following to help ensure kids' health and safety:
- classrooms will be as well-ventilated as possible
- snacks will not be served (parents are welcome to send a labeled bottle of water)
- the Pre-K classroom will spend as much time as possible in the playground space (weather permitting)
- toys and surfaces will be wiped down thoroughly
