Over the course of the next few months here at the Scarlet City blog

We’re going to tap our very own arts community with a cause:

Art majors, art appreciators, and those who display artist behaviors.

Are coming out of the woodwork to dissect

How the Gospel and Art Intersect in our daily lives.

Because the Author of Life is the Great Artist;

Because art is a way of seeing how the world could be;

Not to mention, art can help us examine life from a different perspective;

Sometimes art raises more questions then it gives answers,

But that’s ok because we’re fine with tensions.

That’s just a few reasons.

Did I mention this is meant to be a conversation?

Consider this your invitation to come off the sidelines and initiate in the dialogue.

Keep checking in in the coming weeks

As artist weigh in on what it means to join the greatest story ever told.

Here a motivational speech to participate in life

To whet your appetite:

A response to the video/spoken word:

To the Creator of Mud & Spit. The Coral Reef. Heights & Gravity. Correction & Sovereignty. Let us not be held back by Mediocrity & Comfort.

I'm praying now that a brave and humble conversation about art will encourage us and spur us into a great action of loving God and His people! Excited for what's to come!
