New Series: Colossians-Christ is the Foundation

In 2008 then candidate Barack Obama ran on hope and change. He understood that everyone longed for something different. We see this desire expressed in our lives through diet programs, workout routines, job applications, home purchases, and financial investments. Each are an expression of how we want things to be different. Of course, none of these are bad. They are realities of life. WE ALL CHANGE. We age, learn, adapt, and grow.

In Colossians, the apostle Paul address the tension between life today and the hope for tomorrow. Paul reminds us in this letter of the supremacy of Christ over creation and the world that is. But he also reminds us of the hope that Christ is supreme over the new creation and the world that one day will be. But there’s more! The highlight of the letter is that Christ is the one that can take us from reality to hope. He is the bridge between creation and new creation!

Join us as we discuss creation, new creation, and the Redeemer who has paved the way. Worship Gatherings are Sunday mornings 10:30am at Ecole Kenwood (3770 Shattuck Ave., Columbus 43220)
