When It Gets Hard

Anytime you try to take a stand, lead, or make a difference for God you will be met with difficult circumstances. It might be that you face some form of persecution or it could be a requirement of a certain level of sacrifice necessary to faithfully live out the mission. When these times come we often respond by just trying to tuff it out. We don’t want to be quitters so we double down, dig in, and try to push through in our own strength.

I understand the apparent honor and bravo with a response like that. We all would like to think that when things get rough we will persevere, but I think there is a much better route to take. I believe that God puts us in these circumstances not so that we depend on our own might and abilities but so that we turn to him.

When life gets hard and circumstances look bleak cling to God. Find strength in him and he will enable you to endure.
