Ephesians 4:11-16 “And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.”

At Scarlet City Church we approach ministry with two key values: ministry through people and team. When we say ministry through people we are referring to the concept that ministry isn’t reserved for the professional clergy but is done by anyone committed to the mission of the church. Furthermore, we value team because we recognize the need to work together rather than having an individual pioneer efforts alone. We firmly believe that God has gifted all his children with unique abilities and skills and when we work together we can better carry out the mission of the local church.

Below you will find three key ministry teams that we are establishing to help with the launch phase of Scarlet City Church. Each team will have appointed leadership, clear roles, and play a critical part in fulfilling the vision of the church. We everyone who desires to be a part of Scarlet City Church to join one of these ministry teams.

Scarlet City Kids Ministry | If you have a passion for ministering in the lives of children and families then you should explore volunteering with Scarlet City Kids Ministry. Our vision is to see children and families be transformed by the gospel and then to live on mission. We hope to be a city leader in providing dynamic, creative, and transformative environments for children.

Worship Arts | God has gifted many with a passion and ability to minister through music and the arts. The Worship Arts Team will primarily be responsible for leading the creative elements of worship gatherings. This is perfect for musicians, sound technicians, those desiring to help with set-up and tear-down, and other skills necessary to fulfill the mission of the Worship Arts Team.

Scarlet City Connection | We want people to feel welcomed when they visit Scarlet City Church. Furthermore, we want it to be an easy process for people to get connected to City Groups and service opportunities at the church. Therefore, we’re starting the Scarlet City Connection Team to lead the way in providing hospitality at gatherings, following up with guests, and helping people take the next step of commitment in the church. This is a great opportunity for people gifted with hospitality and a desire to meet with new people at the church.
