This week Jay and I are immersed in the Challenge Conference with nearly 5,000 youth from all over the country. Please pray for the conference – namely, that the students grow in their love for God and others. Also, please pray for them to be a radical blessing to the city because city renewal is [...]
This will be a big weekend for thousands of students, Columbus, and the church plant as the Challenge Youth Conference comes to town. The Scarlet City Project is one of the major initiatives of the conference with potentially hundreds of students helping with service projects. We’ll have updates all week. Check out the promo video:
I wanted more than anything to post this last Friday when it came out, but I waited until Monday in hopes that it’d reach more people. I’ve mentioned my friend Garrett, a photojournalist at USAToday in weeks past. He recently covered a story for Father’s Day called “Fathers For Life.” This story reveals the power [...]
Hey friends of the Scarlet City Project, The area code for Columbus, OH is 614. You don’t have to be in the city long to know that people take a lot of pride in being from “the 614.” The reason I’m telling you this is because today happens to be 6/14 (June 14). Instead of [...]

It was a lot of fun because we actually started working together on the project [...]

We’ve enjoyed meeting people, having cookouts, walking to local shops, and unpacking boxes. People have been blessing us with [...]
