compelling three days in Columbus

Megan and I returned to Little Rock after a short trip to our future residence. We drove to Columbus in search of a home and to drop off our car so I don’t have to tow it next month. It looks like our house search proved successful as we found a few homes that were in our price range and exactly what we were looking for. As we looked at homes we dreamed of what ministry could look like. We’ll be hosting small groups, core launch team meetings, cookouts, and numerous other gatherings at our house so finding a home that’s hospitable is a must. We submitted an offer on a house that would be a great fit and we’re praying it’s accepted. We’ll keep you posted.

Phil and Sarah Nagy allowed us to crash at their place while we were in town. They’re an awesome young couple doing great ministry in the area. Megan and I also had a chance to drive around Clintonville which is the area of town we’re looking to live. Nancy Dreyer, our realtor and now friend, was awesome! She was as excited as we were looking at homes which was cool considering we’re first time home buyers. She even opened up her home one night for the three of us to discuss our future home and what ministry could look like.

Megan and I can’t wait to return to Columbus next month as residents! We’re overwhelmed with excitement at the thought of living missionally in Columbus for many years to come. Keep the deGarmeaux’s in your prayers as they venture up to Columbus later this week to look for a home as well.
